Congrats, you're the one who made me break down and register to help out! ;)

Quick question, are you streaming or burning your backup?

If you're streaming, try just pulling the card out for a moment then plug it back in, before you power on if you get the corruption message. It happens to me all the time, and I do the streaming method. After I put the card back in, there's no problems, no data corruption, no nastiness. It seems to happen if your cube crashes to a frozen, non-stream state while playing a game.

It might work the same way with burned backups, so try doing it that way and see if it works.

hehe, nice to know I actually persuade someone to join.. =)

BTW nope, I burned the image and played the backups that way. Havent got luck finding a cheap, nice GC broadband adapter..

and usually after I got the corrupted issue, I turned off the GC, go into the original BIOS and they asked me straight to format the Mem Card.. well, I thought I've lost everything anyway so I formatted it.. T_T

so actually there's a way to go around that prob huh.. ? plug out and then plug in again.. ? Will try that later..

    thanks !

Yeah, give it a go. It's something I discovered in my first trials of GC streaming. The only thing I've had to reformat my card over, was when I tried doing backups... Don't have an official card, so it didn't work too well and I didn't read that the utility was ONLY for official Nintendo cards. x.x

Something funny is when people say it's so incredibly difficult to stream GC games. I do everything on my computer, thanks to a fairly decent tuner card. And with a router, no less. And I actually find that the whole Phoenix utility is just way too much bloat, takes forever to load, and is a pain in the ass. So, I have it set to load the server and streamer at the touch of a single button. ;) [/off topic]

just to re-confirm, so it has nothing to do with PAL and NTSC savegames saved in one file, issit ? So that its safe to do so or I better separate them in two memcards .. ?

It shouldn't have any problems. They save as the same data type, same wordlength. Any differences between versions is just in how it handles the information within the file.

I have both PAL&NTSC gamesaves on my mem. card and I haven't had any problems. Don't try phoning Sony, exactly what I did and their customer service sucks, they tell you to buy another one if yo can't fix it yourself :-|
