Are you running many programs in the background? Turn off Anti virus software, firewall, disconnect from the internet, ect. Use process explorer to see what programs are taking up your resources. http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html Great little free app. Doesn't even install. It will let you know what is hogging your memory.
