ok I had 1BG of ram and I wanted to upgrade to 2GB... so i went to frys and picked up this item: Patriot 2GB DDR PC3200 400MHz for my D101GGC Intel Motherboard...

So I removed my old memory and put the new sticks in started my pc and everything was going nicely until vista tried to load... at first a blue screen came up with a bunch of letters for about a second or two and then the computer restarts... im like wtf... it happens all the time... so i put the old ones back in and boom everything works... wtf... Is this the right type of memory for my mobo or what...??? Or is the memory just faulty??? Plz Help...

I see on the memory requirements link that you posted that it states 2.5v only. It looks like your new memory is 2.6v. I believe you can run 2.6v in some 2.5v boards but am unsure if it applies to all. Maybe somebody with knowledge of your system could answer this for you.

Is there a setting in the BIOS to change the voltage, probably not reading the memory requirement link.

This is just something to bear in mind, it may or may not be the problem.

Theres no option to change the voltage in the BIOS...

I also forgot to say that scince I dual boot vista and xp... with the new memory installed i could only boot xp but whenever i try to play crysis the game would just crash to desktop... and a little window comes up saying "memory could not be read"... any ideas...

It looks to me that either you memory is either incompatible or is faulty.
If you could swap it with another PC of your own or a friends it would help the problem solving exercise. Sorry i can not come up with a better suggestion serranoX3.
