My friend tried to mod my xbox for me time today. He was supposed to give me a cool background for the menu screen. But whatever he did screwed up my xbox. Whenever I open the drawer to try and get the menu that says music, memory, etc, the light blinks green and red and it says 'Your xbox requires service' in 6 different languages. It does the same thing when I just try to play a game. I'm a noob and I don't know what's going on!!!! Ahh!
In that 'Error Screen' @ the Top Left of the Screen there should be a Number. Ex. 05-06 ~ HDD Not Locked (05) - HDD can not be unlocked (06) Ones will look like this | and 7's will have a slight tilt to 'em. In order to know what's going on (and moreover on how to correct it), We need to know what the 'Error Message' is trying to tell us with the Error Code. That's currently beeing displayed...
16 is the RTC (Real Time Clock), The only way I know how to possibly fix this requres you to have an Internet conection and a XBOX Live!™ compatible Game. In short your going to have to bursh up against Live! (not actully makeing any contact with it as such). But I can't guarantee you that you will NOT GET BANED THIS WAY! So think about that first! And then let your XBOX™ Download any Dashboard / Live! Updates that it can. this should cause the XBOX™ to then reboot automaticly. You will however losse your 'Softmod' settings...
Lucky for me I do have internet connection with live and a few compatible games. I don't care much if I get banned or if I lose my softmods as long as my Xbox still works! I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but my Xbox doesn't load games, either. No matter what I do it comes up with the error. Maybe I'm still misunderstanding. I appreciate you trying to help me!
You'll need to insert an Original Gamedisc into your Drve, and then cycle the Power Switch. Now your XBOX™ should boot from the DVD-ROM Drive and load the Game.
