for some reason i cant open the download from that link , if anyone could please POST it ,i have the isobuster but i dont know what to do and im getting really frustrated, thank you
Wow. I actually went through this process and the game works. I'm usually very bad about getting something like this to actually work as it is supposed to, but this time was the exception.
First I have to give some props out, beachguy8, thank you for directing us to bitconsole.com for this problem. Second thank you from the bottom of my pirating heart to iriedawta for giving us that link. Listen everyone, if you download from that link and do exactly as the word document says, it will work perfectly! I made 4 coasters trying to do it the traditional way (as traditional as it gets I guess), and I used this way and it works like a damn charm! I will be burning every game like this from here on out just so I never make another coaster. Unfortunatly the process is long and it uses like 4 different programs, but it f@cking works! If anyone is having a serious problem with this, make sure you read the thread carefully, and follow your instructions carefully. The questions regarding the "my original was 4.4 gigs and now it is 1.8, is this right?" yes it is right. I can only assume that this process of rebuilding is somehow removing "trash" files from the ISO (which I believe companys are doing purposely so that we cannot back them up, that or programmers are getting lucky with this type of dilemma) - Much like Bloodrayne 2 (damn that game to hell for giving me coasters), in closing, any questions, post em here - we'll help out as much as possible, cause this is an awesome game! Thanx again beachguy8 and iriedawta, you guys are awesome!
You magnificent bastard! It worked beautifully Like the prior poster said, I'll be doing this with all ISO's from now on. My only complaint is the bit where it says "click the volume tab", it doesn't specify which box you're supposed to type the number into. So I did the top left one, and the volume label... Game worked, that's all that counts
what i did was just keep isobuster open and see how the files are listed..... just open isobuster again...
yeah i want to open it the only thing is i throwed it away because i had less space on my hd! so please post a list of the order of the files!!!!
order of the files.. slus_20932 irx credits.txt esrb.tga mercs_1.ccz mercs_1.iml mercs_1.ims mercs_.list msh2temp.ini ps2,ini rs.ini rsm.cfg shellscr.txt system.cnf vehicles.ini dataps2 next time read instructions before deleting a program
the problem is i cant open the word document, apparently my computer doesn't allow it for some reason, if anyone could send it to me to CallMeTheMan@gmail.com with the subject "MERCENARIES" or could post it here i might be able to burn a playable version, many thanks
Iso buster works for me even though i had troubles but thats because i kept selecting dvd master dual layer instead of just dvd master but the copy is perfect
-Why is the hell is the flip top shitty for me? It caused my swap magic dvd to scratch and my games to scratch. Sorry to go off topic, but it seemed quite a few of you lads had a flip top case.- First of all CHEAP DVDRs will scratch HELLAH EZ! Also when you load the disc into the fliptop make sure it is centered so it will spin on the spindle freely before closing the top, and NEVER open the fliptop when the drive is spinning or the lens will grind against the disc which is bad for the disc and the lens. And finally, if you are making labels for your backups using Neato or CDStomper, the extra weight from the label will often force the disc to grind against the lens. Once I stopped labeling my backups with the above methods they stopped scratching. Hope this helps!
It's funny. The cheap DVD-R's I just bought seem to work just fine. For the file order, I simply took a screenshot of ISOBuster.
One thing I have been wondering... This process, that got it from about 4.3 gigs down to 1.8... Wonder what would happen if you tried this on Gran Turismo 4?
