dear friends ,i have a soft mod console that was working perfect ,but i install avalaunch ,and select the unlocking hdd ,because i coulnd not see the back up games that i was doing ,and now don even start,just after a few seconds ,the message need service apear and message 5 on the screen .the console look like if never been open so i assume that it is a softmod ,it have the xboxmediacenter ,on it and it was reading everithing that you put on it ,the stamp on the console said 2005 ,so it is pretty new ,and the hdd it is a seagate. it seem that i did not have on my pc a copy of the eprom.bin ,but befoure i screw the console i was able to ftp and save the c and e complete .please help .thank you guys
I know how to fix it with a chip, but softmods are a pain when things like this happens. There may not be a way to fix it without having to either reformat the drive or uninstall/reinstall the softmod. With a chip you just use an auto instaoller disc and lock it.
