Ok, so for a friend I was checking out thier box 5000 IIRC. It had 2yr old fw and hacked channels. The guy paid for it and more for install/haack and is meant to pay per year. I updated to new FW and now in channels are $ signs. They are scrambled now and I think I lost the lot. The installer iinstalled a Netgear router also. Can I recover cline or whatever it was? Or is it on the routers side? Theres one tuner on it. Next Q was - I quite like this and we have 1 sky box and a dual LNB I am after a box or better a TUNER CARD for my PC= what ones support hacks, clkines? Would be on Ubuntu and shared out to XBMC Frontends
not a subject i can talk about,but sometimes if you google you tube you might get some helpful videos and i think if you did a factory reset or reflash you would lose your info.
