your tv needs to be able to work on ntsc mode, try playing around with the color and see if you can change your tv mode to either ntsc or auto instead of pal made and you will have color, I have the messiah chip and my games work well, I just had to adjust the setting on the tv itself

No, your TV doesnt support NTSC. My mate had the same problem when he tried to play a region free porno DVD from holland. Most modern TV's support the higher refresh rate (at least i think that's whats wrong)

That could well be the problem, if you trying viewing an NTSC video source on a PAL only TV, it will appear in Black and White. I would suggest trying your PS2 on a TV that accepts an NTSC signal, if it is still B&W then something is wrong inside. If you get a colour picture then you need to buy a Video Standards converter, something that will take an NTSC input and give you a PAL output. Can get these from a lot of retailers, such as www.techtronics.com and www.keene.co.uk

    I wonder can anyone help.
My sons ps/2 has been chipped to play back ups and I am unsure of the chip name, however, it requires the AR2/V2 to use.

Recently however the ps2 now says "loading code list" for the ar2/v2 and then freezes on screen with the "loading code list" message.
This message used to appear for a couple of secs then the menu would appear allowing the selection of the game to be played.
    No more though !

I dont know if this is a problem with the AR2/V2 or the ps2 any ideas ?
