Metallica's St. Anger

I bought Metallica's St. Anger and my computer will not read it. All I hear is a thumping noise as the computer spins it around and tries to read it. I read on some other sites that some people were having this problem.

Anyone got a solution?

Thanks, holding down the shift button as I inserted the CD allowed the computer to recognize it and I could rip it.
