I got curious and went ahead and followed the instructions on my beta paper and it is allowing me to download now. UPDATE: I logged it with my ps3 proxy to see if those that didn't get a beta code could get in with the old Warhawk beta method but it has copy protection. It can however be game shared. I posted a tutorial here on how to do a game share.
Just to let everyone know that Konami have sent out e-mail deletion to those that obtained a beta code via the Japanese Konami site. The email states that "You should obtain a beta code for your region."
Sucks as I was looking forward to play but I guess I will miss out. Going to have to wait I guess. COD4 will keep me busy but I wish I can try out MGSO. Anyone know if North Americans can only get the beta code via pre-order?
I did sign up for the US site which was funny because I had a feeling that getting in the beta that easy was too EASY Anyway I had an email confirmation sent but no code yet. I think that you have to go the pre-order route to get in on the beta testing.
I had trouble as well. I put my birthdate in and it kept telling me that only 14 year olds or older were allowed in. I ended up just putting something in the 70's and it let me through.
Update: The game share does not work for this. I tried to hook a friend up and it told him it was already in use on 5 ps3s which was not the case. Go to the European store and download it then sign up for a konami id and PW. Update 2: Actually I'm unclear as to whether or not this can be shared. I can't share it. I believe I found out the problem so it is possible that this can be shared. When I first figured out the game share I posted that you can share games with up to five people. I think you can share with a total of five people for all games. I will update my guide.
You can create an ID again once you log in. The webpage still tells you to consider making your ID at a different time because of traffic volume, but it is back up.
