Are you sure M$ hasn't just ripped off firefox? LOL Anyway, if you download that, you deserve to be shot
BREAKING NEWS : Microsoft Buys FireFox (Ha!) Just a little something to get the FireFox users hyperventilating... Love the embedded "e" in the Firefox logo, and the red cross marks on the box.... link http://blogs.pcworld.com/tipsandtweaks/archives/003048.html Fake Sites Insist Microsoft Bought Firefox By Gregg Keizer, Tongue-in-cheek Web sites are claiming that Microsoft Corp. purchased Mozilla Corp.'s Firefox browser and then renamed it "Microsoft Firefox 2007 Professional Edition." However, when you try to download the new Web browser you actually get a copy of the Redmond, Wash. developer's for-real Internet Explorer 7. link http://www.techweb.com/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=193700272&cid=RSSfeed_TechWeb
Oh my!!! Someone put a LOT of work into that fake site! Go to "Support," click on "What is RSS," and look at that sh*t! That one had me fooled. Good find Ireland!!! I wasn't planning on d-loading the MS version anyway. Sorry all. This one had me fooled! I have edited the thread title accordingly.
After I read -teflonmyk- first post I did some investigating as im always on top of the news with firefox and I could not find anynews with the so called "merger" or anyone else I asked, so I new it had to be fake. But never the less as -teflonmyk- stated "Someone put a LOT of work into that fake site!

OK this is wierd. Go to the msfireox mail thing... and sign up I did it for a laugh expecting to get some half arsed error lol but it rly works! I tested it by sending and receiving an email from it. LOL! Check it out. Not sayign this will be permanent, but OMG
This person/group had there sh*t together. The layout, graphics, and consistency with existing MS sites is all top-notch. They oughta be employed designing web pages if they already aren't! I wish there was a "Best Hoax Website Awards." I'd vote for these clones/clowns...
I remember seeing this about a 2 months ago. Descent job with the layout and all, but there's one major flaw: there's 'Ads by Google' on the page. Microsoft.com doesn't have any ads on their site/s. It's the little things you need to look out for to keep from getting phished.
"At Microsoft we strive to appear lovable, friendly, and helpful... ...because our antitrust ruling forces us to do so" LOL!!! Classic.
