Microsoft Outlook - Clearing the "find/look for" field.

Hi guys.

Need a little help. I'm sure this has got to be an expremely easy task but can't seem to figure it out.... not sure what that says about me, lol.

Anyway, if I click the "Find" tab and type something into the "Look for" field how do I then clear that field?

Not the search result, I mean the field itself. I use the find option all the time but then whatever word I type in to that field to search is then saved in a dropdown menu. I've got a bunch and want to clean it up.
