Ever since I 'fast shut-down' my computer yesterday by holding down the power button, my Windows XP Pro has been acting very weird.

So here's the problem. I cannot open programs/do tasks such as:
    - MS Paint
    - Command Prompt
    - WordPad
    - MS Magnifier
    - Add/Remove Programs
    - Security Center (from Control Panel)
    - Adjusting Date/Time on the PC
    - Right Clicking Desktop -> Properties

They are mostly Microsoft programs that I'm having an issue with, but also, I can't open programs like:

    - iTunes
    - Most of my Game.exes
    - Limewire (rarely use it, so I don't know if it's a problem)

What happens is the mouse flashes and nothing happens. I can get into many other programs just fine, like Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, My Computer, etc., but it's just the select few I can't.

    Methods I have tried:
    - Ad-Aware Full/Smart Scan (both)
    - AVG Anti-Spyware
    - Yahoo! Anti-Spy
    - System Restore Points (two of them)
    - Safe Mode (both with/without networking)

The scans I ran showed my computer as clean. However...

When I ran Spybot Search & Destroy, I got a ton of problems that popped up including Trojans. Whenever I try to click 'Fix Selected Problems', Spybot usually either 1) freezes, 2) say 'Memory is not enough'. So I don't know how to remove those Trojans because none of the other scanners detect them. :/

Could anyone help with me?? I'm trying to fix the programs so they work but I don't know if it has anything to do with the system or with the viruses. Any help is appreciated (sorry if I wrote too much.. trying to explain my problem as best I could in one post)

    ~Jeff

    [Edit]
Well Spybot is detecting 121 entries of Virtumonde.dll Trojan and I can't remove it no matter what I try (because Spybot keeps freezing and not responding if I click Fix Selected Problems).

    Any help still? Thanks.
