Hello. I'm getting some "Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter" alerts by spybot. While I understand these are usually nothing to worry about, I also understand its not a bad idea to use a program like "hijackthis" to scan the system anyway. I just wanted to post the log and see if anyone here sees anything that doesn't belong. Here is the log it gave me. Fix entries using HiJackThis Launch HiJackThis Click the Do a system scan only button Put a check next to the entries listed below (if they still remain) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pp] C:\windows\pp10.exe O23 - Service: Windows Hosts Controller - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\unwise_.exe IMPORTANT: Do NOT click fix until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now Click the Fix checked button and close HiJackThis 2.) Delete Service Copy & paste the text in the quote box below to Notepad. Name it FixServices.bat In the Save as type: select All Files & save it to your desktop Double click FixServices.bat. A window will open and close. This is normal. 3.) Run MBAM Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <-- Don't forget this. • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Thanks for the reply, I currently don't have the machine here to give you the MBAM log but below is the latest HJT Scan.
