Hi, i need some help here. I bought a combo of wireless keyboard + mouse (microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard 1.1 and wireless optical mouse 200) a few months ago, and recently the keyboard started acting weird. whenever i type something, if i move the mouse while doing so, the keyboard blocks and i have to hit the key again. It's espescially very frustrating in games. And sometimes a message that looks like this one appears "The signal of the wireless keyboard is low" even tough my keyboard is like right besides the receiver.

I already tried changing the batteries and re-installing the drivers (microsoft intellipoint) but to no avail. Please anyone help me in anyway :S

try doing a reset on both the keyboard & the wireless adapter for it. look at the manual for how & were the reset button is on botrh devices.

Microsoft wireless devices are total junk; something probably came loose inside the keyboard or the mouse. Get Logitech next time.

When you reinstalled the drivers did you reinstall over the old ones, or remove the old copy and then did a fresh install of the new copy?

Other than that I can't think of much, might be time to crack it open and see if anything looks out of place.

I did remove the old ones and then installed the drivers again. It did not solve the problem. However i'm still under manufacturer warranty, so i called microsoft and i will probably be getting a new one.

hope I'm in the wireless k board problem?

Just wanted to payback some info I got on this forum re this prob.

I'm using a ms 1.1 wireless keyboard and mousse that has been EXCELLENT for a few years (just for those who rubbish it) and suddenly got very sluggish, I don't remember changing the batteries but eventually realised it could be the problem (and so discovered the k b had some!). I must stress the mousse was working very well during that time - this did not really change anything! Through forums finding I also removed my "mobile" (as it's called down under)phone from the desk! but no go, and fairly hard to input text. checked my wiring etc. (very cluttered in my case)and looking below my two screens found that my "tablet" light was on via its usb, and that where my wireless receiver was resting on! Bingo now all it's back to normal. So guys look for anything of the kind about your desktop that might have been left on.
