Hey guys. Been having serious problems with DVD's and VCD's turning to garbage and skipping and eventually coming to a complete freeze forcing me to rewind and then fast forward in hopes I can get past the freeze. The first half of the movies always look and sound great, but not long after the halfway mark the results are always the same. I have also noticed on DVD's where I put 2 movies on one disc the same thing will happen to both movies. My movies usually will finish playing just fine if i can manage to get them farther than the freeze. I use the same software I always have that before never gave any problems. For my DVD's I normally use Nero or Sonic MyDVD, and VCD's mainly are already in .bin format so i use Alcohol. My burner is a TSSTcorp TS-H552L wich I've never heard of, but it came in my HP. I've tried several different brands of CD's and DVD's at different burning speeds with the same results. I always make sure to close all programs and never multitask while burning. I bought this computer brand new just a few months ago and have had this problem from the start. If anyone has even the slightest idea as to what could be the problem it would be a great help. Sorry for the long post, but this is driving me crazy. Thanks a ton guys!
