Only way I saw to get these reliable was to liquid cool the cpu/gpu. Lots more expense.

well the temp sit around 106.f in xbmc dash but when i come out of a game its around 127.f is that to hot or not. i have never over heated it [yet] and left it on for days. not only dose it have six fans in the back i put one on the cpu.

i use my xfalkon more than my xbox360

127f~~THATS REALLY GOOD (we are talking cpu?)

the 360 at an average room temperature with 2-4 players is about 140f

once again you can see the temps for the 360 here!

on the site you are looking for the stockMB temp they did the test after 2 hours of some heavy playing!

yes that is the cpu temp. the gpu temp is around 80.f in dash and when you come out of a game gpu temp is around 120.f .

i know the xbox360 runs hot that is one reason why they die.
but people i have talked to told me that a cpu temp should stay around 100.f

    thanks for the replies.
    i am just being precautious

i assume you have temp monitoring on your 360?
well since you do you should be fine:D
127f is a very healthy number, you can tell your friends their n00bz!
game consoles run at a higher temp then a normal PC, the 360 should be stopped (turned off ) at 153-160f, your choice mine never spikes higher then 134f!

your cooling temp is very good!

    I'm a Celsius man myself, 106F = 41C and 127F = 52C

In XBMC my average CPU & GPU show around 49C (no obscure case modifications here); i can't abide noisy fans so i keep my fan set at 20%, seems cool enough to me, a little loud but i tolerate it; i don't however know what safe temperature limits the xbox is capable of/supposed to be at..

edit- here's a few links, still reading them myself..

    http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cach...+xbox+turning+silent&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=uk

    From here - http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act=ST&f=24&t=69004

"What are the average temperatures for the xbox cpu and motherboard?
CPU temp should range from about 40º-65ºC (104º-149ºF)
Motherboard temp should range from about 33º-49ºC (90º-120ºF)"

"What is too hot for my xbox?
your Xbox will shut down if the cpu temperature reaches 71ºC (160ºF)"

In XBMC i haven't got the box ticked that shuts down at a certain temperate, will re-check that when i get home

They all seem to vary a little.. I would (as your temps aren't excessive) just turn the fan speed up some, or fit a bigger fan ;)

Doc made a hood, like the one fitted to the 360 to drag cooloin air through the hearsinks, or you could use my trick and fit a more efficient old p2 cpu heatsink with fan.
