I tried doing a search on "Millions", so I wouldn't have to bother any of you. I found out you get a lot of things I was not looking for. A little too general I guess! But I was wondering if any one has had any issues with this movie?

I was trying to back it up for a friend who was visiting for the night, so I didn't have a lot of time to test all options. The disc looks fine, but there is an error message in one of the sectors, which I assumed was a certain type of encryption. Can't remember what it said exactly. :(

First I tried DVD Shrink, and it gave me the error as stated above. So next I tried File Mode with DVD Decrypter, which was successful, but once again, when I tried to shrink it, it gave me the same error again. So then I tried iso mode with DVD Decrypter, and again it was successful.

So I am trying to find out what options I have. I think my only option is to take the files as they are, on my hard drive, and back them up onto a DL Disc. I kinda did not want to do that, as I hear there is still issues with these DL disc's.

Is there any other software, other than DVD Shrink, that can compress the file size enough to get it on a regular DVD?

    Hope to hear from someone.

CloneDVD2 may work. DId DVD Decrypter give you any warning messages, especially any related to Dummy Sectors and suspect sectors?? If not, then there is something wrong with your disc, but if it did, then the disc is possibly corrupted ("protected"). There are several options in that case including:

DVD Decrypter with a PSL File+ FixVTS

DVD Decrypter with IFOEdit + FixVTS
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260734
    DVDFab Decrypter + FixVTS
    AnyDVD + DVD Shrink
    AnyDVD + CloneDVD2
AnyDVD + just about anything else that can rip
    DVD43 + DVD Shrink
DVD43 + just about anything else that can rip

AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 are the only software that are not free.

I back up Millions using Shrink with Any-Dvd main movie only.

Edit- This was region 1 disc.

I too had no problems with this movie, used AnyDVD and Nero Recode it backed right up. I do not remember anything special about this movie. Try the 21 day trial versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD if you still have problems, then your disk is as stated messed up.

Thanks for all your responces. I will give it a try. The only thing is, my friend has already left with his DVD. But I still have it ripped to my Hard Drive.

    Wish me luck!

    Thanks again,
