Mini DV to PC Recording, No Audio

    I believe I have successfully set up a firewire connection from an newly installed buslink card with 4 USB and 2 firewire ports. My cable goes from the firewire port to the Mini DV Camcorders DV port. I am able to bring moviemaker up and transfer video from tape to files on my PC, However, I do not get an audio when I try and play it back. What am I doing wrong??

    Try looking for the audio menu on your camera and make sure that it is set to 16 bit, 48kHz and not 12 bit, 32kHz. I think cameras come set with a default of the 12 bit audio that may not be compatable with your capture program. Just a guess.
