Currently running an OLD 466mhz Pentium and 128mb ram and running Windows ME, Bought the Pioneer 105 and now Nero and DVD-Decripter keep crashing as soon as they start scanning for what devices I have present. If I put my old CD-RW back in everything works again. Is my system to old or is it the dvdwriter ?
Your system is too old .. [sorry] I'd suggest at least 900Mhz/256 ram/and well as for WinME (get rid of it cos Win98SE is better IMHO)
Also what HDD space have you as DVD rip/author/burn can use upto 12Gb per DVD sometimes ?? [bold]My system: [/bold] WinXP Pro 900Mhz AMD 256 SD Ram 120Gb HDD (80+40) @ 7,200 Pioneer DVD-RW DVR104 Lite-On 165H DVD-ROM [bold]Software used: [/bold] DVD Decrypter DVD2One (if needed to compress DVD-9/dual layer) Nero Enterprise Edition 5.5.10.20
Pioneer Recommend a minimum 600MHz processor and 64MB RAM with 8MD HDD free You could upgrade quite cheaply. You would needthe following: - Motherboard - £45 - Processor - 1.2GHZ Pentium III - £19 - New RAM - 256MB SDRAM - £19 All could be done for £83 from Ebay.
