hello, I cannot seem to take action shots without them being blurry, does anyone know the best settings for sports photos.I used the sports mode but all fast moving shots don't work out. Much appreciated for any help. Cathy
Use less zoom and try to keep the subject in the middle of the screen. I'm not familiar with the camera you are using, but you should get images with blurry background and sharp subject (but you can clearly see that it's moving). I shot this with my tiny ixus 700
Thanks for the great shot,is that your dog? my photos have perfectly clear background and anyone moving is blurry, I think my shutter speed must be out. This is my first digital camera and I have probably upset the settings, the camera takes fantastic shots of my old slides but just can't seem to get the sport shot right.I know is me and not the camera. Thanks again for your reply Cathy
Yes, it's my girlfriends dog What kind of sport shots are you taking? If I knew it would be easier to help you out.
Hi, my son plays basketball and my previous camera Minolta XGA,film camera took all shots so it is annoying being at a game and the players are blurry, I have since changed the shutter speed and it was way too slow. Thanks very much Cathy
you could also try higher ISO speed. Indoors there's not enough light, so camera automatically adjusts longer shutter time to be longer. That's why players are blurry. With higher ISO speed ccd/cmos is much more sensitive to light, so you can take sharp pictures in low lighting. Higher ISO speed means also more noise.
