MIRC/IRC Floods identified by Zone Alarm....Please help.

Please Help.....
Hi... I,m running ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:6.0.631.002 and after completing a virus scan I have 2 MIRC/IRC Floods. Zone alarm states there is no treatment availableto these high Risk infections.

Is this true?...What can I do?

I have tried other antivirus packages and none have come up with the same results. I have also tried Trojan removers and again they have not indicated the same problem Zone Alarm have stated.

Please read HijackThis, i would be extremely grateful if anybody can help solve this problem and eradicate Zone Alarms findings.

That's not all of the HijackThis log. You're using XP so the list shall go to 023 not just 016. Please post the rest of the log and we'll get to cleaning your computer.

Since my last Thread,I have switched off System restore and done a Zone Alarm /Avg scan in Safe Mode with all files Not hidden and the virus appears to have disappeared..

System restore has now been switched on and i,m yet to do another full scan in Windows normal.

Fingers crossed.

If you did not install MyWay Search Assistant remove it.

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall:
[bold]MyWay Search Assistant[/bold] (or similar)
Then, delete the folder:

Run a scan only with HijackThis check and fix these:

I have done the majority of tasks.

But i cannot delete Program Folder MYWAYSA as access is denied to deSrcAs file within.

Also the Kaspersky Online Scanner will not work with Zone Alarm program on my computer.

I will do another scan with AVG and Zone Alarm and also enclose a new HijackThis Log for perusal.

Delete it in safe mode.

Did you allow it? Try temporarily disabling ZA until the scan finishes.

Fix these with HijackThis before running Kaspersky.

If you still can't run Kaspersky after disabling ZA run ActiveScan instead.

Go here to run [bold]ActiveScan[/bold].
Click "[bold]Panda ActiveScan[/bold].
Fill in the form with your information.
After downloading, click [bold]My Computer[/bold] to scan.
When it finishes, click "[bold]See Report[/bold]".
Click "[bold]Save report[/bold]" and save it to the desktop.

Post back with either the Kaspersky or ActiveScan log.

Delete this file:
C:\[bold]U.exe[/bold]

You could also delete the other file listed, if you want.

Use CCleaner to clean cookies.
Go here and download [bold]CCleaner[/bold].
[bold]Note[/bold]: If you do not want [bold]Yahoo! Toolbar[/bold] uncheck the option when installing.
Close all windows.
Open [bold]CCleaner[/bold].
Click [bold]Options[/bold] > [bold]Advance[/bold] > uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours".
Click Cleaner > [bold]Run Cleaner[/bold].

You'll be clean after that.
