Hello, I have seemed to have misplaced the hidden folder C:\ProgramData ! It just vanished w/o a trace! I was moving files in and out then it disappeared. Other hidden files are there! And programs that use this folder still work fine. I tried numerous web so called fixes, I tried numerous searches, looking in list pane, detail pane, pain in the A**....... It does however appear in the registry. Also, If I enter cd \programdata in the command prompt the file shows........ I can then also enter dir and it will show all contents. ARRRGGGGG>>............. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction?
Yeah, I wish! No restore points! I just installed win 7 prior to this mystery. Here is another clue I just discovered. If I type ' %programdata% ' in the run box > OK it appears like an old friend, But alas, it will not show in C:\
if have menu bar enabled in windows explorer not internet explorer, goto tools, folder options, view tab & checkmark the "show hidden files, folders & drives" under "hidden files & folders"
