    Hi guys,

downloaded various xbox games from usenet. After using winRAR most of them end up as ISO files which are easy to burn and I have no problems.

Some of them (Half Life 2, Call of Duty 2) end up in files without file extensions after doing WinRAR, e.x. pal-cod2g for Call of Duty 2 (2GB).

I tried to open those files with different programs, Isobuster, Ultraiso, Alcohol etc., but they were not able to open them.

Does anyone know how to find the right file extension or other ways to fix the problem, other programs to use?

    Thx, H

Find out what extension they are.

    Do this by:

Open up to the window the files are located.
    Got to Tools/Folder options/View TAB

now in the list a little way down it says (hide extensions for known file types) untick the box and then click apply to apply the settings.

Now it should give you the 3 letter extension at the end of the files.

    What are they?

If it is a RAR file then use WinRAR. If double clicking it dosent bring it up in WinRAR then right click on 1 of the RAR files and go to choose program and select WinRAR.
