hi lads n lasses i did a full scan tonight 06/11/08 trying to scan in channel 5 i did a factory reset and channels wud scan back but wud not update so i put the new super box firmware GTRom_Super_709eBETA.rar on it and channels scaned but movie channels didnt i tried scanning again but no joy is this the latest firmware for super box ???any help please by the way im in waterford ireland on ntl tru cable
try using the previous firmware you had on the box ,if it worked ok for you,don't think you will get channel 5 though

correct cacti, if its a newer box 709'ok, if its an older box the op would be best reflashing with the firmware he previously had on it.
hi lads i tried all the firmware for the super box but it still wont update my box is about 3months old wat exact firmware shud i put on it ???
use the 709,and have a read through the starview link under my pic,there are a few way's to get the box to update,the usual way is to press menu 1570(make sure your emu is on)then press the set default key exit to a premium staion and it should kick in,it may take a few go's.

In karls absence, barts, to be on the safe side, flash it with the crypstar v.1.4-Core 257 bin. This is safe on both genuine & clone sv1`s.
