Im dropping random letters when i type, only seems to be happening on internet explorer though?

I can type in MSN and in notepad or wordpad absolutely fine, but when I type in Internet Explorer I drop random letters with no pattern at all, sometimes even a space is missing or even a letter I wanted to be Capitalised is still lower case even though i know for sure i hit the shift key

Googled ad Yahoo'd this problem and i find nothing, only 1 person suggesting its a ps2 port broken and another suggesting to unplug and replug the keyboard and reboot.

not likely to be the ps2 port as its only a problem in Internet Explorer, types fine otherwise, so i know the keyboad is fine(its 2 weeks old also)

and I obviously tried to unplug and replug, reboot etc

thinking of trying a system restore...its been happening a few days, cant think of what i did that got it started as far as I know nothing

this wouldnt solve your internet explorer mystery, but have you considered using mozilla firefox as a replacement?

moved to correct forum as not a pc hardware issue.
if ie6 is the original browser then uninstall both ie8 & ie7 to see if that corrects the program. if it does then upgrade to ie7 or 8 if you want.
