Hi. I have a rip of MK Deadly Alliance SLUS_204.23 .
Here's what Alcohol says about it :

    Name: Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance.iso
    Size: 797.80 MB
    Session:1
    Track: 1

    Session 01:
    Track 01: Mode 2 Form 1, Length: 355677(694.7 MB), Address: 000000

So the size of the iso is 797.80 MB but it's really 694.7 MB or something .
Anyway,i burn it with Alcohol and it doesnt work :(
    I get a black screen .
The iso seems to be good i mean it works on Pcsx2 ,i even got ingame and threw some punches :p
    ------
    What can i do ?

Is the game in CD format? If so then you'll have to convert it to DVD format if your PS2 cannot reads CDs like me. Then use Swap Magic 3.6 or a modchip to boot it.

Actually ,i want to burn it on CD since i don't have a dvd writer yet.
I tried to burn a dvd rip of Tekken Tag and that worked.
    So my Ps2 does read Cd's .
Accesing MKDA through UlaunchElf ,i went to Ps2 Disc and it says something like "Checking System.cnf" and it freezes.Maybe that will give some kind of clue about what's going on.
Should the fact that MKDA.iso has 797 mb but when mounted its only 694 ,should this be the cause ? I have heard about something called rebuild ,can i do this here and how ?
    ---------------
    Also ,Alcohol says :
    MKDA :Track 01: [bold]Mode 2 Form 1[/bold],Length: 355677(694.7 MB), Address: 000000
    Tekken Tag: Track 01: [bold]Mode 1[/bold],Length: 297504(581.1 MB), Address: 000000
    ---------------
Could that "mode" be the cause of boot failure ?

If you're using Swap Magic to 'boot' the game, then it's probably because it's too big for SM CD Version to boot the game. If memory serves, the TOC limit on SM CD is about 64mins.
Open up the image in IsoBuster & see what time length that states.

64mins is about 560mb so if what ace1uk (I don't know this for sure as I never used the swap magic CD) said is true then you'll need to burn it to a DVD.

I'm using Myth Chip so it's not a Swap Magic issue .
    The time length is 79:02:27
I saw this with Alcohol when i tried converting the iso to mdf/mds.
I got 2 reading error in the process .Something is wrong with the image after all ?

Why are you trying to convert from iso to mds/mdf?

What process is this? I thought you are trying to burn a CD?

Well, as i said the MKDA iso has 797 mb but when mounted it's only 694 mb .So i thought i'd try to convert it and see what size it will come out . It this process of converting it had 2 reading errors .
I tried the same thing with the Tekken iso and it had no errors in conversion .

Actually, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is MUCH bigger than 700MB. I have the game and after being restructured it's about 2.85GB. The full non-restructured ISO is 4.36GB. Likely you DLed a fake. Sorry, keep a look out and it should be floating around the torrent sites again.

As i said the iso is good because i played it in Pcsx2. Just that maybe my modchip can't boot it properly.Anyway i got the dvd version now and it rocks ,this little iso remains only for testing Pcsx2.
