Is there a program (or some way ) to sync the subtitle to the audio of a MKV? I use SubSync for all other video formats, but it will not work on MKVs. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you.
My friend use a sw named qq player, you can adjust the sub tile during playback (if the sub is not burned into the picture).
Generally you would demux the the subtitle from the MKV and if it was a text based type, open it and the video in Subtitle Workshop. If you knew that the subs were a different frame rate from the video, you would set that source rate and the timing would change to match your video frame rate; then you could save the new subtitle file and remux the video with the new subs.
The Subtitle Workshop won't accept the MKV. It says it is the wrong format. So I can't use it to sync subtitles. I am hoping the Subsync will upgrade to accept MKV or there is some program like it out there somewhere.
Do you know if Haali media splitter is installed, it's an mkv splitter. If you install it and it doesn't help, you can uninstall it from the Control Panel http://www.videohelp.com/software/Haali-Media-Splitter
