hi, i have just converted an mkv to avchd, took a while to get it sorted, but ended up having to use ripbot264 to get the file down so it fit on a DL DVD, anyway, i then used tsmuxer to put it back together, followed the guide in this forum, output as bluray, but came up as a data disc.. anyway just read on here that i need to output as a avchd instead, got it sorted, but i dont get any chapters ??

    any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance

Did the MKV have chapters. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any program that can compress h264 and still maintain chapters. I would love to be corrected by an expert.........

Unless the MKV came with custom chapters, tsMuxeR will default to 5 minute chapters. If you have the chapters you need to input them into the chapters section in the "Blu-ray" tab of tsMuxeR. Chapters must be in the following form:

    00:00:00.000
    00:05:00.000
    00:10:00.000
    00:15:00.000

    etc.

Chapters and compression have nothing to do with each other, you can include original chapters with re-encoded AVCHD or blu-ray discs. A re-encoded (compressed) movie still has the same runtime as the original uncompressed video, therefore there will be no issues.
