I'm sorry if this has been asked before but i'm having trouble playing an MKV file on my new Macbook. I tried using VLC and Mplayer for OS X but on VLC the progress bar just moves from left to right with no video really quickly and Mplayer just freezes with no video. It used to work fine on my old laptop with Mplayer for Windows XP though so its not corrupt.
Hi, I downloaded a mkv codec from the web. I think it is called lazymans mkv. Once installed realplayer and windows media player semed to play mkv. Just put mkv codec in search box and it should come up. It was free if I remember right. Jim
