    Hello,
I have a problem with internal subtitles in MKV H.264 videos on Windows Media Player (Windows 7 x64). I use ffdshow, CoreAVC and haali splitter. I choose subtitles in WMP - no subtitles visible. I choose subtitles in haali splitter - no subtitles visible. Even tried using ffdshow Subtitles and VobSub but result was the same.

Thank you in advance for help!

Any particular reason why you prefer WMP over other players?

I prefer WMP because it perfectly works with Media Center remote from my Logitech Z-Cinema.

MPC HC with EVR (default, custom gives an error) renderer and ffdshow subtitle filter on works fine. Shall I turn on more filters (related to CoreAVC or ffdshow) to get better quality or performance?

I don't use MPC or WMP too much. WMP, I never got it to play MKVs well enough.
Whatever filters you turn on, make sure you don't have the two trying to do the same job at the same time, they might conflict.

But I just don't understand one thing. Why CoreAVC and haali splitter starts automaticly (after opening a video file) but ffdshow filters not (I have to add them and set as 'preffered'). I can't find any info in ffdshow nor MPC-HC FAQs.
