Question mkv sound out of sync

I have taken the 5.1 audio of one MKV and combined it with the MKV video that only had 2 channel audio. The problem is the audio is out of sync. In the past, I have used "VLC" to sync the audio, and used "Virtual Dub" to put them in sync.
However, "Virtual dub doesn't accept MKV files.
Does anyone know of a program I can use that is as easy to use as "Virtual Dub, that will accept MKV files?
I would appreciate any help.

BTW, are you aware that mkvmergegui (part of mkvtoolnix) can add an audio offset to the audio track of an mkv.
It means you can simply remux without changing codecs and there is no quality hit.

 

I didn't know that, but the virtualdub all-in-one I downloaded is working fine.

In the VLC Preferences, click on Audio and then tick the Advanced options checkbox; there is an Audio desynchronization compensation setting that allows you to set a positive or negative time delay between the video and audio tracks in milliseconds.
