Converted t bunch of files to .MP4 using MKVtoPS3. Playback perfect on PC viewed through KMplayer. Tried play back of DVD-r disc through PS3 - files seemingly not there. Ps3 listed only standard .avi files on same disc, would not even show file names for .mp4 files. Help please. Should I just reconvert files .AVI or similar using MKVtoPS3?
MKVtoPS3? I've never heard of that one before. Have you tried tsMuxer or mkv2vob? Those two might do a better job of it than MKVtoPS3. Actually, try mkv2vob. It seems like it's probably some sort of incompatibility in your video/audio stream. mkv2vob will automatically fix this. If that doesn't work, then you'll probably have to demux the .mkv and deal with each component by itself. (If you come to this, then use MKVExtractGUI and mkvtoolnix to demux the file, then come back and list what the streams are.) Hope that helps... as much as I CAN help.
