mmds aerial intergrated downconverter with the box t

    hi all,hope some one can help me? i bought a box t and a mmds aerial intergrated dowmconverter [uhf] and will not work, but will work with a vhf downconverter at a friends house, is there any setting on the box t menu to make it compatable with the uhf downconverter. i am on cho**s mmd* in kildare.
    ps. a great site keep up the good work.

    Try a manual scan at 682 mhz.

    tried manual scan with 682mhz no channels found

    Do you get any analogue channels via the mmds aerial and your tv tuner?
    I yes align the aerial via one of the analogue channels.

    yes i did get channels one unscrambled and the rest scrambled. when i use a vhf downconverter all is fine but with the uhf converter no channels found on the box t.

    Check if horizontal or vertical is used in your area.
    You see it at the head of the feed arm of your neighbours aerial.
    Btw you should check the handfull analogue channels via the tuner of your tv, not box-t. Do a scan after connecting the output of the psu for mmds.

    the downconverter is working[uhf] through the tv tuner but when i use the box autoscan no channels found 2/12 scaned.i think i just need to use a vhf downconverter. thanks for the help.

    No, you need the right frequencies for scanning. Autoscan is not working.
    Try manual 674mhz, 682, 690, 698. If you find channels add 8 and scan again for each higher frequency until you get all channels.
