Hi, Can anyone tell me if it is Chorus or NTL supplying mmds to Greystones ?

    DVB-T or DVB-C ?

You sure ? I ordered digital from them but they won't install. Typical apartment scenario ! The guys came out and all but wouldn't put the antenna up.

    Charlesland area.

But as far as I know your estate is serviced by Magnet so that may be your problem, related to landlord services.

    No Magnet for sure.

Plenty of houses in the estate have MMDS digital, it was just an install issue. I wanted them to mount the antenna on the balcony rather than on a wall.

On a totally unrelated subject, am I right in saying that I need to flash a Eurovox before it will work?

I've seen all the posts here so no problem doing it, but just not sure if they come pre-flashed. According to the website, the guy ships them blank, but maybe thats just to cover his ass ??

No its true they come as FTA only well at least 90% of the time. The flash process is easy all you need is here on the forum. Going by mgb's advice a standard Eurovox Max V will do for MMDS in your area.

Thanks for your help. The Max V 2008 is what I bought.

Its the Kuro Unified Flash Loader with version 18.04.08 I need right ? or is this just an update ?

These things auto update the key so only need a firmware update once in a while ?

Sorry, but new and better to ask now rather than pay later !

Great, got that before, but thanks, its reassurance I'm after more than anything.

I'm pretty sure its NTL MMDS. Time will tell :)

Simply check a digital mmds installation in the neighbourhood.
If you see a pace box its exN*l.
