right lets say we have a ps3 and a laptop wit the the mobile broad band dongle thing is it possible to set up the dongle with the laptop etc and then connect to the web through the laptop via bluetooth or by cable from laptop to ps3?? if this works then my next question is would the band width be enough for online gaming???? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My brother's got 3 Mobile Broadband in his flat and it doesn't allow his PS3 to connect to the net... It's really shit coz when I wanna beat him at FIFA over the net, I can't...
What type of wireless card (dongle) does it have? If it shows up on your laptop as a network connection then all you would need to do is bridge it with your LAN connection. Then have a network cable from your PS3 to Laptop. Might need to set up static IP addresses for each device to stop any problems, but it should work. EDIT: As for speed, what type of data plan are you on?
im only actually loooking into the whole setup now ! its one of the wireless jobs from the likes of the mobile phone companies like 3 or voda fone im sure i can share the connnection but im not sure would the upload an download capacity of the connection b enough for online gaming
It should, theoretically, be fast enough. What are the speeds of the connection you are hoping to get?
That should easily be enough. The one other thing is ping time, but that cant really be measured unless you actually have the connection.
