is it possible for a mobo not to be able to take a 256mb card? it has a apg slot and it is an apg card someone told me that my mobo stops at 32mb is that possible
not the ram on the card but the voltage for the card could stop it from working on the board. older agp slots used 3 volts compared to newer boards of 1.5 volts. what is the make & model # of the motherboard & videocard?
link to motherboard specs. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&dest_page=prodinfoCategory&docname=c00034311 link to videocard specs. http://www.bfgtech.com/5500OC.html have you loaded all motherboard drivers including agp slot driver??
No I just bought the card and looked up the computer on hp.com and it said 8/16/32mb cards so I wanted to find out if that was it and I didn't want to open the card if it wasn't going to work.
thank you I will just try it and make sure that I have all the latest downloads for the computer so that it will hopfully work.
