"little thing" ? Are you talking about the bios bank selection switch with the Xecuter logo and leds. If you are and the Xecuter logo is red the chip is disabled...check all your connections and make sure you are not holding the power button down for too long on boot. A quick press will enable the chip and if you hold it for longer than a second it will disable the chip.

Check these things then we can proceed in using FlashBIOS to flash a BIOS onto the chip if need be. You should be able to get to the backup bank by pressing the eject and power button at the exact time.

So did you ever flash your bios then in the blue screen (flashbios)

If you can't boot with your chip enabled, check your d0 wire carefully.

not exactly, in a minor oversite with sipping of the x3 the backup flashbios is version 3.01, if you have a 1.6b xbox yer in for a world of hurt, flashbios 3.03 is on banks 5-8, as long as you didnt flash over that your good, just load up from those banks, you will get flashbios, then change to your 1st 1 meg bank i.e. 1-4, and flash the latest x3 bios, 3294... then once thats flashed get into your x3 config live and get a copy of 3.03 and flash the backup from inside of config live, but this only applies if you have a 1.6b, to check, look at your ram chips.... hynix ram = 1.6b
