Out of the many chips I've looked at (Crystal 2.0, Duo 3 Pro, DMS4 Pro SE and Matrix Infinity GD), I can't figure out if all of them support DVD+R DL backup discs. I know for a fact that DMS4 Pro SE and I believe the Matrix Infinity support it, but I do not know about the others. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
I can confirm the Matrix Infinity chip supports DVD+R DL. Over the weekend I burned Rogue Galaxy on a Verbatim 8X DVD+R DL and it works flawlessly.
