mod chips in the UK

can anyone tell me if there are any shops in the UK (london) that will fit a mod chip on my ps2 for me?

No mate, unfortunatly its now illegal to own, fit, supply, or sell mod chip in the UK.

I believe they do a fitting service.
If youve got some soldering experience and youre half decent at it, its not too bad so long as you have the right tools and materials.

 

what is the best mod-chip for playin backups?

 

I installed a Matrix Infinity into my v9, and have not had a problem other than my own fitting errors. It has not yet failed to boot any disc I put in it.
