Alright so I have been trying to mod my Halo 2 Maps for the hell of it. I do not intend to use them online, I just wanted to mess with my original Xbox.

How do I Mod Halo 2 Maps and transfer them to my Xbox?

Currently I use DotHalo (i'm pretty sure this works)
I have come accross some tutorials on modding maps

    http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/halo-2-beginners-tutorials/24-modding-halo-2-beginners-pics.html

I am still a little confused on how to save them and then how to transfer them (I'm a n00b I know). Do I need to use other programs to mod these maps?

I also have trouble making the modded maps work.
I have created beta mods to see if what i did acctually worked. I then transfer them to my Xbox; however, when i go to play these maps (i.e. Turf, Relic) I get a "failed to load map" message. I have read somewhere that if that happens then I probably forgot to do something. I have no idea what though.

    Can someone please help...
    Thanks

    Remove the email address

I found this on the link that you posted.

Resigning the Maps aka Getting them to load properly
If you do not follow this part, you will get FAILED TO LOAD MAP.

    Download CMRv2 if you haven't already - CMRv2
    Open CMRv2
Click Open Map and choose the map you just finished modding.
When it opens, press Resign Map.

CONGRATULATIONS! You just modded your first map! Let's see if it works!

Now you are ready to FTP the map back to your Xbox and try it out. It should work now! If you dont know how to FTP, look at the requirements part of the link that says FTP.
