Ok I have a shot up hard drive. And since each HDD is unique to the mobo installed along with it, I need a modchip to communicate a new hardrive with the motherboard. So once that is done and I try using xbox live, I switch the modchip off so Live can be enabled but does that also mean function to the harddrive will also stop?
when u have the chip on you can use an xbox app to find your CODE. then u can lock your new hard drive with the code so when your modchip is off the xbox will still recognize it. You need a program called: configmagic.
thanks! I also heard that some people have been booted from Live due to detected modified hardware. It's a shame that I only need my xbox working so I can play. Is this something I should be worried about? thanks again.
