modchip xbox repair a softmod

hi had a softmodd xbox and i tried hotswaping and blew hardrive
bought a retail hardrive unlocked but cant get eprom

was wondering with my other modchip xbox would i be able to repair broken softmod xbox to play original games?

or is there anyway way to get softmodded xbox to work at all?

not unless you put that modchip into the broken xbox to fix it.....
