Hey all At the moment im trying to flash my Lite on and I need to cut traces... i was just wondering if anyone has used a conductive pen instead of the conductive glue before? http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/displayProduct.jsp?sku=SA02343&CMP=e-2072-00001000 Im just trying to find the easiest way =D
these pens work ok, the only problem i have had with them is they dont last very long. you are only going to get 2 or 3 good uses from it. the best thing to do is clean the traces really good, and use solder its actually easier than the glue, or the pen.
Thanks... I wish i could use solder but im not such an accurate person when it comes to it... but if i did use solder does it matter if i get it on the trace but also partially on the pcb for example on the sides of the traces or would that ruin the drive?
its pretty important that you stay on the traces, if you are that worried maybe i would suggest the pen, its a lot easier than using the glue.
alright thanks alot =D... but when you say the pen doesnt last very long does that mean the conductive material which comes out of the pen runs out quickly or once youve used it you have to keep applying it to the drive?
