Hi all, Before any flamers talk, I would like to say I spent a good 10 mins searching and didnt find an answer. I am going to purchase a used wii this weekend probably with a D2A chipset and was wondering if it is ok to mod that wii. The problem is, it is probably fully updated. Is it still ok to mod it with a wiikey?
Obviously you didn't you the search bar at all, because I found the answer in a few minutes! Yes you can mod it, if it's a D2A chipset! You cannot mod it if it's a D2C chipset (at the moment)! So you should be fine on modding it! Oh, and try searching a little harder! You may think it was 10 minutes when it was probably only 2!
Oh i'm sorry, can you give me the link that says you can mod it after you update your wii to 3.0. thanks.

Hmmm, this doesn't answer my question. I'm wondering if it is ok to mod the wii with the wiikey when the wii itself has the 3.0 update already. So in other words, the wii has the 3.0 update but I did not put the wiikey in it yet. Is it ok to put the wiikey after the wii is updated already?
