Modds Needed

I am on this forum every day and night
it seens to me you need more mods I am very active in the D box section

The console forums need to be here. If it comes to consoles in my opinion this is the best forum on the web. Just because you don't take part in them doesn't mean that they need to be shut down.

 

we may not have as many mods as many other forums, but those we do have do an excellent job. it takes an extra level of maturity and sense of responsibility to successfully perform the duties of moderator on a forum such as afterdawn, and the sad truth is precious few members, even those of daily posting habits, have the qualifications required.

these may be the best console forums on the web, but in the grand scheme of things, that doesn't make console forums look too great, does it?

the problem isn't that people who don't require console assistance or who wish to share it enter the forums...it's that retarded kiddies from those forums spill out into other parts.

not really. the ratio of irresponsible and idiotic posters to productive forum members tends to be far higher in the console forums than any others.

 

I would agree that there needs to be more moderators - not because the site are poorly maintained, because their not. Rather because a moderator would be more likely to give direct attention to rising issues. For example, if someone like Ripper was a moderator, I think that they could reply to new posts, so that person with the issue gets quick responses. Take me, for instance. Even if I didn't know for sure an answer to a solution I could supply them with a list of links that seem promising to their problem and hopefully that would help them.

 

I'm all for more mods but finding the right few people to do it is hard for the current Mods/Staff; rushing into things and making bad decisions could leave the site in a worse state than it was before.

And Vicious, thanks for the praise however I think it's important to note that your role at the site changes very severely in transition from, say, Addict to Mod. It's safe to say that with the growing levels of stupidity on the forums the mods, who are very knowledgeable in their own right, have a hard time keeping the sh!t under control without having time to answer lots of questions.

NB: Having said that I am not by any means saying the mods don't answer questions because I know for a fact that ddp and creaky still post help.
