Hey guys, haven't posted in a while. I'm having major wireless network problems. I have my main desktop wired to the router with a wireless laptop on the network. A couple of days ago the network lost it and only works on the laptop now. Most pictures don't load on the laptop and you can't get to some websites. I rewired and reset all the equipment and tried again, nothing works. What's wrong?

It may be an internal hardware problem with the router.I mean if it's not the wifi adapter on your pc's then it's probably the router. It may just be time to get a new router...sorry.

    But I'm not an expert.

    What's the brand anyhow?

I got the internet to work on both computers. THe only issue now is the picture loading. Everything works fine on the desktop but on the laptop some pages and pictures don't load.

    heres another problem.

you think a modem out of a dell computer would work in another computer with the same drivers and settings? i tried and it doesn't work with dial-up internet. what's happening?

The modem is recognized and has the same drivers. The access number is dialed and it connects but then an error message pops up saying that its unable to connect to the network. It's not a firewall problem or anything. Do you think getting another modem would solve the problem?
