HI all I looked at some guides and I'm a bit confused. I don't have a Xbox but I thank it would be kind of fun to mod one and use it as a Media Center. I guess cost is a factor I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that is not that useful. From what I read I need splitter cell the game and some kind of adapter to turn the memory cards slot into a usb reader. I see so many different ways to mod the x box I don't know where to start. Most of the guides are very old and relay on games that will be hard to come by for software modeling. So before buy a Xbox and try to mod it I would like to know a few things first. 1. Is a software mod the best way to go 2. Will I need more hardware than the x box is self, if so how much will this cost me (including games) 3. Can I watch DVDs on the Xbox without more hardware 4. After I Mod it can any old IDE hard drive work 5. Where is the best place to buy a used Xbox
splinter cell hard to come by? .. every used games shop around here must have 50 copies at £1 each. I bought 3 .. and a controller to gut for the cable?.. big ones £2
They start at minimum price on fleabay .. or you can buy a chip off chip spain for €9.99 anyway.. I don't believe for one minute that a used very common xbox game is $50 ,, pull the other one.. *I hear bells*
