Mods, as u may hav seen i started a thread about 1000 favorite games - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/325092. When we reach our goal of 1000 games i will hav the list alphabetized and numbered. I was wondering if perhaps the thread i create with the games numbered and alphabetized could be stickied at the top of the forum and then closed so others interested in the topic could find the easily accesible list. Thanks a bunch and i look forward to hearing from u.
I agree it should be stickied. I find there are a lot of stickied threads that don't have much succes so what's the pointy on having them stickied.
When you say "sucess", what do you mean? Stickies are more there as a help/guidance rather than threads to be posted in often.
I am interested in a response from the Mods as to whether my thread on fav games can be stickied and closed once i number and alphabetize the list.
But threads are usually stickied because they benefit someone. I don't see how a list of games benefits anyone. As you say, though, you'll have to ask the mods.........
djsmooth2 While a neat idea your thread doesn't come close to fulfilling any of the criteria for being a sticky. If it's popular enough with the community it'll stay near the top. Bombayboy, Send me a pm with your thoughts and ideas about the PSP forum.
What exactly is the [bold]criteria[/bold] for a thread becoming a sticky because my post is receiving overwhelming support for being stickied?
It needs to be a helpful source of reference or serve some form of purpose. How does a list of games help anyone, and what purpose does it serve?
As good as a thread it is, it's not doing anything for anyone, it's a fun read I suppose but sticky's are usually guides and the sort, I can get a list of games off google, I don't think it should be stickeid, my oppinon, don't hold anything aggainst me for it. Can't see it happening my friend, I'd stop the stuggle as it isn't going anywhere fast. Good luck!
i find myself aggreeing with the more experienced members here. sure, some people may find the thread interestin (though i personally don't see why), but how does that help anyone at all with anything this site is about? as said before, nothing is accomplished by the thread.
