I have searched throught the forum, but couldn't find this problem.

I have used both Virtual deamon tools and Nero burning rom to extract the ISO spearhead file(renamed from .bin)

The installation was succefull, and I choose to add the new MOH patch.

however, when trying to start, the Spearhead splash screen appears and then the following message

" Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

The patch not only seemed to spoiled Spearhead version, but also the orginal MOH AA where same message appears.

    Any clue ?

    Thanks in advice

    Regards

Hi and thx for a quick replay

according to clony the protection of the game is Safedisc 2.80.010
The patch is just some upgrades for the previous MOH AA in multiplyer. I don't think it acctually couses the problem.

I am not sure I am using a perfect 1:1 backup, or mabey the trial version of nero wasn't able to break the protection.

Anyway, I will try the blindwrite.

    hi

    the settings for blindwrite are

"authorise the use of alternate read mothod!"

    not read subcode one!

    nibble

    DAO-PW burn type!

tick autoplay to read in any cdroms!

read and write slow! 4x read 8x write

I believe the original MOH Spearhead is Safedisc 2.6 then when you apply patch (multi-player) takes the cd protection up Safedisc 2.8.x(not 100% sure m8). Try burning the image again using "bypass efm errors" (data type setting) and burn at 8x. Now minimize Alcohol 120% to system tray (startup) and check "ignore media type" and try and play your backup in your [bold] burner [/bold].
